Festivals: Easter - Austin Presnell
from The Beloved Church
Easter reminds us that God’s story has always been about new life. In Leviticus, the first of the harvest was brought to God—not as leftover, but as the first and best. It was an offering of trust, a declaration that more was coming. The firstfruits weren’t the full harvest, but they were the promise of it. And in 1 Corinthians 15, we see the fulfillment: Jesus is the firstfruits. His resurrection isn’t just a moment—it’s a guarantee. What happened to Him is what will happen to us. “Jesus has risen, He is not here.” And yet, sometimes we resonate with those words in a different way. We believe He’s risen—but life still feels heavy. We walk through seasons of hardship, grief, or waiting, and it can feel like He’s distant… like He is not here. But Easter reminds us: His absence from the grave doesn’t mean His absence from our lives. It means He has gone ahead of us, securing a future we can’t fully see yet. The firstfruits have come. The harvest is still coming. So even in the tension, we hold onto hope—because He is risen, and He is still with us. _______________________________________ Learn more about The Beloved Church: https://www.belovedgr.church/ Subscribe to The Beloved Church | https://www.youtube.com/@belovedgr.church Follow us on Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/thebelovedchrch Follow us on Facebook | https://www.facebook.com/thebelovedchurch Helping the next generation fall in love with Jesus. #TheBelovedChurch #AustinPresnell
