Fetch Me a Cryptid

This week at Journey to the Fringe we're obsessed with wolves of all types- bipeds, Dire Wolves... probably others? That's right, we're diving deep into yet another great lake anaomaly... at least loosley in the neighborhood, and that's the legend of the Dogman—not to be confused with Dave Pilkey’s graphic novel hero, though this cryptid might also rip up your mail. From Michigan’s misty Manistee River to Pennsylvania’s moonlit pastures, sightings of this upright, canine-headed creature go way back, often showing up uninvited, and sometimes with a cigarette between its teeth (we don’t judge). We howl through eerie encounters, unpack Dogman vs. Werewolf lore, and paw through the curious case of a radio prank that accidentally birthed a legend.
