FGC #81: Music & The Mystery with Mike Mangione

Singer & songwriter Mike Mangione is just the coolest.  Not only do I love his music - and his LYRICS (works of art!) - but he's just such an interesting, deep person to have a conversation with. And converse we did! While he was on the road between gigs (literally) Mike and I visited about his story, his awesome Americana-inspired original music, and what moves him to create such beauty. We talked about the influences to the art he creates....Bob Dylan (and others)....and St. John Paul II!  (And yes, there is a connection between those two....)  I really dig his music - it holds elements (so many) of the various genre's that I love, yet it's truly "Mike Mangione Style".  There's really no one else out there that I've heard just like him. Tune in today, and not only will you hear some fascinating conversation, but you'll also be able to hear a sampling of three of his original songs which represent only a small glimpse into his entire catalogue of music.
