FIELDNOTES: I report on my annual circumambulation & the WALLOWAS-AS-MANDALA

Every year, around Summer Solstice, I set out on a solo circumambulation -- on foot and by mt bike -- of the Eagle Cap Wilderness & the WALLOWAS. I always go from South to North, in one great circle, always counterclockwise, or "widershens' (countersunwise.... It is a journey that takes about 60 to 90 days.
