Paul's letter to Timothy is one of many instructions. He warns of those surrounding the church that were preaching a different doctrine. He wanted them understand their commitment to Widows. The widows were also told to conduct themselves in a Godly manner. Elders were told to fight the good faith and to be a good witness to others.
