Fighting Apostasy: Why People Leave the Church The conversation concerning apostasy has become a hot topic with some celebrity Christians leaving the Christian Faith. This is not a new conversation, and it is a serious problem that is not limited to celebrities. This conversation comes on the heels of recent celebrities such as Hillsong songwriter, Marty Sampson, (who has stated that he was losing his faith) and pastor/author Joshua Harris moving away from Christianity. Today we are going to look at apostasy and the various reasons people leave the faith.
