Fighting Birmingham Council Tax with Singer Matt Hoy

from The Never Settle Podcast · host Mel Kate

A great interview with Matt who is a charming brummy, down to earth, has passion in his belly to do good and is a fellow muso!!! Whats not to like. Matt Hoy has been involved within the music industry since the mid 1990’s.Working as a solo performer, backing vocalist and songwriter Matt has worked with many artists including, Wet Wet Wet, Boy George, Gary Kemp, plus touring and recording with Ali Campbell’s (UB40) for over 12 years.Matt and his passion for music has never diminished and has recorded 2 solo studio albums with 2 songs from his most recent album (Strong) being considered for Grammy nominations (Wonderland/Strong), and his song (Happy) from his first album (Touch) receiving a World Songwriting Award. In 2021 Matt was told he could no longer tour with Ail Campbells band because he refused to take a medical intervention. Angry is not the word but now he has come to terms with it.Even so this spurred him into realising how many millions of people were pressured into taking it, and especially feels for those people who don't have a lot of people around them to support and advise. We all know mental health and suicides have sky rocketed since 2020.So like many others his journey took a different turn and he began to realise life is not how its portrayed and that actually the organisations that pretend to support and care for the everyday people, in fact do not.You can find Matt at:TikTok - https://x.com/MattHoyOfficialFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/matt.hoy.54To help me keep interviewing amazing guests and challenging the massive corruption within the British Legal System please DONATE what you can and buy me a coffee - much appreciated. You can find Mel on:LinkedINWebsite Insta FacebookSpotify Music TikTokYoutube
