She’s suing for an unpaid bill and lost wages because she says he caused her to get fired. The defendant is countersuing for a utility bill and lost wages because he argues he got fired due to the plaintiff. Plus, The plaintiff brings her cousin to court. She says she and the defendant weren’t close growing up, but they reconnected recently. The plaintiff loaned the defendant money to prevent her from becoming homeless, but she hasn’t repaid, so she’s suing. The defendant admits she intended to repay the plaintiff, but then the plaintiff threatened to sue her and her son. Then, The plaintiff has been gambling nearly his entire life. He sent the defendant money to place football bets for him, but he claims the defendant refuses to return his winnings, so he’s suing. The defendant admits he kept some money because he thinks he should be paid for placing the plaintiff’s bets. He’s countersuing for harassment.
