Robert is approached by a priest in the hospital who suggests adopting a healthy newborn whose mother just died during childbirth.  Without informing his wife, he agrees. After moving to London, strange events and the ominous warnings of a priest lead him to the conviction that the child named Damien is the personified evil. Gruesome deaths suddenly occur. Are these all coincidences?
