California's Democratic Party Chairman would not say if he's glad Xavier Becerra stayed in the governor's race. Ashley Zavala repeatedly asked Rusty Hicks about Becerra all he could say was "I don't think anyone could have predicted as to how this race would turn out..."  McClatchy’s California editorial board has endorsed former Rep. Katie Porter in the crowded Democratic primary for governor.
