Final Fantasy 14 Naming Bug

A recent bug in Final Fantasy 14 has been causing confusion in the game's battle log system. The issue arises when a player and an NPC share the same name, leading the game to mistakenly attribute enemy actions to the player. For example, a player named 'Wicked Thunder' fighting an NPC with the same name resulted in the battle log showing the player hitting themselves with the boss's attacks. This bug has existed in various forms, including instances where two players with the same name join a fight, although the introduction of world names has mitigated this issue in cross-server instances.
