Final update on my dating life (for now)

Written 9/21/2025.I feel the need to update you on all things dating. Just so I’m clear because it has been a rollercoaster.First, while I really like wonderful redhead, there are red flags and also, it’s hard to date someone who has no time to date.Second, while I had turned off the FB dating app, there was one person left in the funnel. We went together to an event last Sunday and had a really nice time. What’s refreshing is that she actually calls (no texts). I asked whether she could get together last Tuesday (only day I had available last week) and she was busy. Robert’s Substack is a reader-supported publication. I can’t tell you how refreshing it is to actually talk to someone vs texting only. We caught up and I said I wanted to see her again. She was out and will look at her schedule and let me know what works for her. I feel there is some spark there which I want to explore.I also went to my HS reunion yesterday (see another post about that one big love fest). While I wasn’t expecting to find anyone (I didn’t). I did hear from a friend that someone was enquiring after me to set me up with her friend. My friend said I’d be happy to. I’ll be curious to see whether anything comes out of that.Long story short, I’m in the market. Not exclusive, just looking for a person to enjoy spending time with while at that same moment, exploring whether there could be something more. If there is not spark or potential of a spark, then I’ll pass on a second date.
