Financial Miracles

Everybody loves a financial miracle, says John Alley, however there is groundwork which must be in place in the life of the believer before such miracles are able to occur. John gives anecdotal evidence of great financial miracles that have come about both in his personal life and also in the life of Peace. John quotes Luke 16:10 – 12 which begins with the well-known statement, “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.” This text reinforces John’s emphasis on the importance of faithfulness and integrity in the life of the believer in establishing the grace that is available to every believer. John then gives a “checklist” of things that we can do in order to establish this grace. These include getting into faith and staying there; watching the details of our lives for breaches of faithfulness which will create a hindrance; and being obedient and willing to hear God’s voice and to act on it. John closes with the following statement: “Faith is the foundation for everything we become and everything we achieve.”
