Learn about her personal fitness journey and how everything changed once she shifted her mindset.   How is mindest connected to our fitness? - A fitness journey is incomplete without a mental journey- We cannot rely on external things to bring us lasting happiness, we need to look internally.- Dr. Joe Dispenza (@drjoedispenza) helped Erin step out of her comfort zone and get past her limiting beliefs. - Connecting to yourself means taking the time to learn about yourself, establish a routine, and talk to your inner child. Observe how your thoughts and how other people affect you. - Once you connect with yourself, you have the ability to create your best self. Creating the life that you want is possible.    What Erin did to make the leap from practicing mindfulness to living it:  - She entered into a state of absorbing. She read a lot more books. She observed her thoughts, feelings and reactions. How we create our reality affects how we act and feel. - You are not defined by how you're feeling. It's an emotion, energy in motion -- It's going to pass.- Shift from 'doing', the hustle, to a focus on being present. Being in control of your life means embracing your creative self. This is the self that will help to create your future.    What are some things Erin does to feel present?  - She makes her inner strength a priority. It's about rewiring our minds to create a new reality. It takes a lot of work and constant upkeep. - "Just like we would work out our bodies, we need to work out our minds too. We clean our bodies, and we need to clean our minds as well, but we tend to be so judgemental when it comes time to clean the mind."- "It's about finding how you can clean your mind. How you can strengthen your mind and take care of it just like you take care of your body so it doesn't become a barrier to your life, but rather a gate to success."- When faced with a situation, train your mind to think, "How can I respond to this moment, instead of react to it?" Reacting keeps us from experiencing things. You can take a pause and don't need to react to everything. - "Every single time I choose to be here fully, no matter what I do, I'm teaching myself to be here fully within everything else. We're taught how to not be there fully all the time."- Lots of people start the mental work, but it doesn't stick for longer than a week. Give yourself grace.    Erin's secret? Stop Trying.  - "I don't have to try. I just have to be. I don't have to go get my joy, I am my joy. It's already here. My health, my wellness, everything that I desire to have is already within me, the only thing that's blocking it is all of this resistance and all of this trying. I already am strong within. I already am good. My core is good, and the only thing that is disconnecting me from that is trying to be something else."- Let go of things that are not serving you. "Creating change, so often, has nothing to do with what you need to add, but it has to do with what you need to release." - Shed mental weight and look within. Only you can raise your vibration and be your own joy.    How can people raise their vibrations? - Inspiration is your fuel. Find what inspires you. What inspired you when you were young? It probably still inspires you now. - Think, 'What actually makes me happy?' Not, 'What should I do?'.  What ignites the inspiration in my soul? - Structure your day around your inspiration. Prioritize it.- "Find something that ignites your soul, and let's prioritize that. Let's make every action you take during the day be backed up with your fire, your inspiration for life."- It's about maintaining control. When you wake up, there are a lot of external problems and opinions thrown at you. If you start the day with the goal of fueling your inspiration, passion, desires, and who we actually are -- we approach the world with inner strength and inner peace. - Give yourself grace. Do the best with what you are given. The only thing you can do right now is make the best of what you have.  Connect with Jordan: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jgofitlife Apply to be a part of my signature 12-week program, Body Confident Blueprint: https://www.jgofitlife.com/bcb-waitlist Join my FREE Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/JGoFitFam/

NEWMORROW SESSIONS - A PodCast Series on the Future of Hospitality Mario C. Bauer, Florian Schneider, Axel Weber & Dr. Tillman Bardt The Newmorrow PodCast is more than a podcast — it's a platform for open dialog on the future of our business, a platform for those building what doesn’t exist yet. Here, we share and embrace our passion for the hospitality industry, but we won’t romanticize the journey. We ask the tough questions, confront uncomfortable truths, and prepare for a future that resists easy answers. We believe that the tougher and wilder times become, the more openly, honestly and humanely people need to talk to each other and act together. We believe, openness, togetherness, and truthfulness should also be cornerstones of a professional community to develop our utopian idea of „open source“. This is a space where visionaries don’t just imagine the future — they wrestle with the paradoxes that shape it: success vs. happiness, data vs. instinct, stability vs. reinvention. Join leaders, entrepreneurs, and thinkers as they share not what made them — but what’s actively shaping them, now and next.
