This week’s episode is a great one for the storytellers.  Katie updates us on all of the stories from the Tony Awards and brings back memories of HMFPIC from Len Berg’s in Macon.  Mandee keeps us up to date on all things happening in the MLB and their history.  We are especially excited about all of the good progress being made to correct the issues of race in the early years of baseball.  We also start to tell the stories of the new Olympians for this summer’s games.  We love these great stories and we hope you will as well!   Katie’s food - peaches No Churn Ice Cream Base - 2 c heavy whipping cream, whipped to stiff peaks 14 oz sweetened condensed milk Vanilla  Pinch of salt Mix flavoring into sweetened condensed milk and fold in whipped cream.  Put in containers and freeze Peach - Chopped 3 peaches and put as much juice in as I could get out of them (can add ½ c buttermilk as well) Southern Comfort - great with pecan pie - 3 Tbsp bourbon - extra vanilla Drunken Irishman - 3 Tbsp coffee, 4 Tbsp Baily’s Butter Pecan - 3 Tbsp melted butter, 1 c pecans, extra vanilla and salt Coffee - put 2 cinnamon sticks in the cream overnight before you whip it, 1 ½ c strong coffee Goat Cheese Fig - 4 oz Goat Cheese, Roasted chopped figs, Balsamic glaze or honey (mix in after it is in the container and partially frozen)   Amazon.com: 25ct White Pint Frozen Dessert Containers 16 oz: Food Savers: Home & Kitchen   Peaches and Cream Dessert 1 ½ c flour 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 2 (3 ⅛ oz) boxes vanilla pudding mix (cook and serve, not instant) 2 eggs 1 c milk 6 Tbsp melted butter Peaches chopped (reserve juice) or 26 oz can sliced peaches, drained   Topping ¾ c sugar 1 Tbsp cinnamon Reserved peach juice 12 oz softened cream cheese   For the cake:  Sift all dry ingredients.  Mix all wet ingredients except for peaches and add to dry.  Mix until well combined.  Pour into a 9x13 greased pan.  Add peach slices.  For topping: Mix all topping ingredients. Spoon topping over the cake and peaches.  Bake at 350 for 30-35 min.  Serve hot or cold.   Mandee’s Favorites Bitter Southerner t-shirt drop and all female edition
