Merry Everything and Happy Christmas! Mandee and Katie are summing up all of the sports and Christmas music for the week. Tis the season! Katie is still writing about Jesus, so her brain is a little fried, but she got some great old family party recipes out of storage for us this week. Mandee has been driving all over creation for court dates and has a new podcast to share along with some other great favorites. We are so glad you are here!   Katie’s Food - Classic Southern Christmas Appetizers Cheese Ring 1 lb grated cheddar cheese 1 c chopped pecans 1 c mayo 1 small onion, grated Black pepper to taste Dash of cayenne pepper Garlic salt to taste Strawberry preserves Mix all ingredients except preserves; mold into shape of a ring.  Chill.  Put strawberry preserves in middle of cheese ring.  Serve with crackers.   Cheese Balls 2 lbs Velveeta cheese, softened 2 8oz cream cheese, softened 1 ½ tsp garlic powder 2-3 c chopped pecans Mix all ingredients thoroughly. (use hands if necessary) - use only 1 c of the pecans.  Shape into several balls & roll in remaining nuts on waxed paper.  Makes 4 to 5 balls. **You don’t have to add the nuts in the cheese ball.  These also freeze well.   Whiskey Punch 2 12 oz cans orange juice (frozen) 2 6 oz cans of lemonade (frozen) 2 6 oz cans of limeade (frozen 1 fifth whiskey 2 lg bottles club soda   Mix all ingredients together.   Madee’s Favorites Fresh Air - Jon Batiste and Washington Brothers episodes especially good.  Trader Joe’s - Jingle Jangle and holiday hash John Rutter - Coventry Carols  ASO - Angels We Have Heard on High Anthropologie Sale - 50% Off
