Mike has been on the podcast before and we appreciate his big heart so much. Sadly, Mike and his family had to leave Haiti because it's now too dangerous for Americans to be there. Mike gives us a glimpse of what is going on there and it's truly heartbreaking. Can you imagine kids being on a waiting list to join a gang? Because that is the reality for some kids in Haiti right now that have no family to care for them....they think the best option for "community" and "belonging" is a gang. It's tragic. Thankfully myLIFEspeaks has always been run by Haitians, so even though Mike and his family had to leave the place they call home and love dearly, the village and the programs there are still thriving. They have overcome so much adversity and the work happening is life changing for so many.
