Finding Financial Freedom - Week 1

Does it ever feel like you’d be happy if you had just a little bit more? Maybe you think a bigger house, a newer car, or a pay bump at work would make you happier. But if you’ve ever experienced any of those things — getting a raise, buying yourself something bigger or better — you probably also soon realized that it didn’t solve all your problems or make you happier. In fact, often, it just sets us off in a never-ending cycle of wanting more — this is where the term “lifestyle creep” comes in. Once you’re in the cycle, “more” is never enough. God has a vision for every aspect of our lives, and that includes our finances. God doesn’t want us to set our sights on making more, having more, and desiring more. Instead, God tells us that true freedom is found when we transform into his vision for us, find peace in our situations, and practice gratitude rather than greed.
