Finding Financial Freedom - Week 2

Here’s the truth: most Americans are in consumer debt. It’s considered “the norm” in our society to put things we don’t need on credit cards. And you’d think all that stuff we want would make us happy, right? But it doesn’t. In fact, once that credit card bill is due and you realize you now have to pay for that thing (plus interest!), stress, worry, and shame begin to replace that initial happiness. For many of us, it’s an endless cycle with seemingly no way out. But Jesus wants so much more for us than this. He wants us to live freely, and to not be consumed with financial stress. There will always be circumstances outside of our control — seasons of unemployment, unexpected medical bills… or, you know, a global pandemic— but we can all take an honest look at our habits and start working toward financial freedom.
