Finding Freedom & Pulling Weeds: How Growth in Christ Transforms Our Lives

from Pastors’ Hangover · host Pastors’ Hangover

Are you managing sin? Let it goooooo!!! In this episode the team explores the transformative journey of becoming more like Jesus and the freedom found in the process. What does sanctification mean? How do we die to self, renew our minds, and embrace the messy, challenging path of spiritual growth.   Just like weeds in a garden, sin can choke our spiritual progress. True freedom comes from the hard work of pulling these weeds, tending to our spiritual gardens, and allowing Christ to guide our transformation. We also address the difficult question: Do we really want to do the work required to be more like Jesus? Join us as we unpack the reality of sanctification and how embracing this journey leads to deeper freedom in Christ.   Last Weekend's Message: https://youtu.be/k7k2xRTO0gI?si=8gJNHjNTeQdDJQtZ   In This Episode: Kristin Bonham Melissa Vicinanza Hal Mayer Daryl Black

Wounded Warriors of the Cross Gary Pastoral and clergy mental health is a mostly ignored area, especially by those who live their lives as pastors in the clergy. The stigma of mental health within those who serve in the shadow of the cross is something that invokes the stigma of fear. Many of those in the clergy will choose to suffer in their despair rather than reaching out for help. Sometimes those suffering choose to wait until it's too late to get the real help that they need. At Wounded Warriors of the Cross our mission is to lift the stigma and the veil of silence that encompasses clergy mental health and assist those who suffer in silence. Wounded Warriors of the Cross is here to shed the light of Christ's love into those dark places.
