Finding Freedom (Part 2: Overconsumption) - Audio Sermon
from Grace Fishers Church Hosted by Grace Fishers Church
Super Bowl Sunday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Independence Day — just a few of the biggest days for food, drinks, and entertainment. Super Bowl Sunday alone includes nearly 20 million pounds of chips, billions spent on soda, and a staggering 6,000 calories per person in snacks. It’s fun for a day… but what happens when this pattern of overindulgence becomes a way of life? We all have something we turn to—whether it’s food, social media, work, shopping, or even good things like relationships. But when those things start controlling us, we’re no longer living in the freedom God intended. The Apostle Paul understood this struggle firsthand. He wrestled with his own challenges, but he also found the way to freedom through Christ. Explore Colossians 3 and discover how to break free from overconsumption, shift your focus to God, and step into the life of peace He desires for us. If you’ve ever felt stuck, distracted, or weighed down by things that were supposed to be good but now feel like a burden—you can find freedom.
