Finding hope while overcoming shame

from Quiet In The Night · host Bill Scott

Overcoming Shame Shame can weigh heavily on our hearts, causing us to feel unworthy and distant from God. However, God's Word assures us that He does not define us by our past mistakes. In Romans 8:1, we read, "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." When we come to Jesus in repentance, He cleanses us and invites us into His grace. Shame thrives in secrecy, but when we bring our struggles into the light, we experience healing. 1 John 1:9 reminds us that "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us." God's love is unconditional, and He delights in restoring us. Today, let go of shame and embrace the freedom that comes from being loved and forgiven by God. Know that you are not defined by your failures, but by God's endless mercy and grace.
