January 21, 2025   Daily Devotion:   "Finding Joy in the Journey"   Ecclesiastes 3:12-13 New Living Translation   12 So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can. 13 And people should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of their labor, for these are gifts from God.   These verses remind us that amidst the complexities and uncertainties of life, God desires for us to find joy and fulfillment in our daily endeavors. The author, traditionally believed to be Solomon, reflects on the seasons of life and the inevitability of time. Verse 12 emphasizes the importance of happiness and doing good, suggesting that our lives should be marked by joy and positive contributions to others. Verse 13 reinforces this by highlighting that satisfaction in our work is a gift from God—a reminder that every moment of labor has divine purpose. In a world that often prioritizes material success over genuine joy, these verses challenge us to seek happiness rooted in our relationship with God and the good we can do for others.
