Finding Purpose in Our Pain (Genesis 50)

from Refuge City Church Hosted by Matthew Thrower

Genesis 50 Why does a good God allow suffering and evil in our lives? This question haunts us in moments of personal pain and global tragedy. In this sermon, we dive into Genesis 50:15-26, where Joseph’s remarkable journey—marked by betrayal, slavery, and injustice—reveals a profound truth: what others intend for evil, God can use for good. This message culminates in the gospel—the ultimate example of God turning the greatest evil, Christ’s crucifixion, into the greatest good: our salvation. Whether you’re enduring trials, supporting someone who is, or preparing for future challenges, this sermon offers hope and a biblical perspective on life’s hardships.
