Hello, welcome back to another episode of Broken Record. My name is Ellie. I'm your host and today we are going to be talking about different songs that I found on TikTok. TikTok is a very great app for discovering new music and also putting your music out there because one video you can make can go viral and then so many people will see it and they'll start creating videos with that sound and it's just this whole domino effect that's very beneficial for artists if their song goes viral.
Or even just gets a couple views because those people will see it and send it to their friends or whatever. But anyway, I love TikTok. I spend too much of my time on that app and I love watching videos and discovering new songs and like audio because there's a little bit of everything in there. Like you're not just getting one genre so it's super cool.
Yeah, the first thing I want to talk about is called Beige. It's by Yoko Lor. It came out in 2017 which is five years ago which is kind of crazy. It doesn't feel like five years ago.
It feels like two years ago. I don't, it feels pretty weird. Anyway, so the Beige TikToks are like traveling videos and like pictures of mountains and the wilderness and then there's also videos of like people showing their up. Or like people using the audio to do a haul of what package they just got in the mail.
So it's kind of got a variety but I love watching the videos that have the wilderness in it because it's always super pretty and the videos are always just so mesmerizing. So here's the part of Beige that is used in TikToks. I think we should have it in the world. So yeah, I love the sound of Beige.
I think it sounds really cool. The next song you want to talk about is called Love Grows. It is by Edison Lighthouse. It came out in 1970 and this song is a perfect example of like how a song or a video going viral can affect artists.
Income and life because this, this song came out over 50 years ago. 50 years. That doesn't feel like 50 years. But it came out over 50 years ago.
But it's popular right now. And so more and more people are discovering this song. They're adding it to their music libraries and Edison Lighthouse is just continuously getting paid because people are streaming their song and people are making videos to their song. So they're getting a little mula.
Yeah, but this, I love this trend. This, this audio is popular with like showing showing off your best friend or your girlfriend. And so you take, there's a specific part of the song where they post pictures of your friend or whoever and it matches the lyrics. So it's like she talks kind of lazy.
Her hair is kind of crazy. And so like you show up picture her with her hair messy. And then there, and then when it hits the chorus, it's a video like them dancing or something. And I love watching it because the girls or guys or whoever's in the video always look so happy.
And it's very cute. So here's the part of the song that is used in Audience. So yeah, it's got a very nice beat and I love listening to it. It just brings a smile to my face.
So the next song is called It's Called Free Fall by Rainbow Kitten Surprise. It came out in 2018. And this song is kind of like beige where it's like a bunch of wilderness videos. I love watching it.
Wilderness videos are always so cool to me because they always show like places I've never heard of or been to. And it makes me wonder they're really, really bad. So here is It's Called Free Fall. So yeah, the Rainbow Kitten Surprise has a very cool sound to their voice.
It's very interesting. And I find it very unique. Yeah, the next song I want to talk about is called Butterfly Effect Demo. It's by Sophie Holdahan.
And it came out last year, 2021. And these TikToks are basically like people listing the butterfly effects in their life. So like, I made a TikTok and that butterfly effect caused me to move to Hawaii or I went to the mall and then I was on a Disney Channel show. So it's pretty cool reading them and seeing what things have happened in people's lives.
Because some of them are a little sad, some of them are happy, some of them are weird. It's just very interesting to read. So yeah, here is Butterfly Effect. And the butterfly brush magic.
Stop me from starting to cross the street so you're burnt right into me. Actualization of a theory, maybe, maybe. So this next song I absolutely love. I knew this before.
I found it on TikTok. It's called Freaking Out on the Interstate. It came out in 2018. And a lot of people have just been posting covers of this song.
Which is super interesting. And I love listening to the covers because I feel like everyone has a really great voice. And it sounds so good singing this song. So yeah, I just love listening to these covers.
But I will be posting the original Freaking Out on the Interstate by Bristan Moroni. And yeah, here is that. Freaking Out. Yeah, I love the sound of that song.
I think it's so cool. The next song I want to talk about is called Don't Miss Me by Claire Rosencranz. It came out last year, 2021. And I love the beat of this song.
Claire Rosencranz is very good at beats. She makes these songs with her dad, which is super cool. I think it would be so fun to create music with your family and dad and stuff. It would be so cool.
But anyway, she's always very good at beats in her songs. She's good at creating like a catchy beat. So you will see that in this song. Yeah, here is Don't Miss Me by Claire Rosencranz.
Yeah, so you heard that catchy beat. It makes me want to go listen to that song right now. But anyway, yeah, thank you so much for listening. I hope you found any song or rediscovered a song or found out the name of songs.
I know sometimes it's hard to figure out names of songs that are into talks. So hopefully you either found a name or you discovered a new song. So yeah, thank you so much for listening. I appreciate it greatly.
