Finding Your Creative Voice with Streetwear Designer Melody Ehsani

from Let's Get Dressed

Melody Ehsani is the visionary designer and entrepreneur behind ME. – a streetwear brand specializing in jewelry, footwear and clothing with a message. Since launching ME., Melody has challenged the status quo of streetwear, an industry widely known as a boys club with little room or inclusivity for women within the space. Since 2014, Melody has been the first and only women’s boutique on Fairfax in Los Angeles, a place where she often brings women together through programming and special events. She’s one of the only women to ever collaborate with the Jordan brand, creating footwear designs that are some of the most coveted shoes on the market today. In this episode, Melody and I talk about her upbringing in Los Angeles, and how she left law school to pursue her design career. We also talk about what makes a dream collaboration, her best tips for advocating for yourself, and her newest project, her podcast The Butterfly Forecast, which launches on February 2nd. She also fills us in on how she’s been handling lockdown, from how she’s been giving back in LA to her favorite date nights with her husband Flea.    Shop Melody Ehsani here https://melodyehsani.com/ Follow Melody on Instagram here https://www.instagram.com/melodyehsani/   Produced by Dear MediaLet’s Get DressedYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@livvperezInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/letsgetdressedpod/Newsletter: https://substack.com/@livvperezLiv Perez Instagram: www.instagram.com/livvperezTikTok: www.tiktok.com/livv.perezShopMy: https://shopmy.us/livvperez Hosted on Acast. Wounded Warriors of the Cross Gary Pastoral and clergy mental health is a mostly ignored area, especially by those who live their lives as pastors in the clergy. The stigma of mental health within those who serve in the shadow of the cross is something that invokes the stigma of fear. Many of those in the clergy will choose to suffer in their despair rather than reaching out for help. Sometimes those suffering choose to wait until it's too late to get the real help that they need. At Wounded Warriors of the Cross our mission is to lift the stigma and the veil of silence that encompasses clergy mental health and assist those who suffer in silence. Wounded Warriors of the Cross is here to shed the light of Christ's love into those dark places.
