Finding Your Place in the Inclusive Church

Today, Bishop P. O. Rodgers continues the series on the importance of the "Inclusive Church" from Ephesians 4:11-16. Christ possessed the authority and sovereignty to assign the spiritual gifts. In the early church, there were three kinds of office bearers: (1) apostles and prophets, (2) evangelist, and (3) pastor/teacher. The shepherd in the NT was the man who cared for the flock and led the sheep into safe places. Apostle Paul saw the church on two levels (1) Body of Christ (made up of true believers) gradually growing into spiritual maturity and (2) the local body of believers ministering to each other (growing together). Every believer as a part of the entire body. Unity of faith means a unity of belief in Christ and this belief relates intrinsically to our knowledge of Him.
