Finding Your Voice as a Writer - Author Frank Reddy (part 2)

from The Write Mindset with T.C. BurrChange your mind. Write your book. · host T.C. Burr

On this episode I sat down with four-time author Frank Reddy and asked him some listener questions. He didn’t think anybody would be interested in his first book, but after some encouraging feedback he decided to start querying, and it was picked up by a small press. Three books later and he’s still writing, and he’s got great perspective on:What it takes to be a published authorTraditional vs. Indie publishingThe power of encouragementAnd a whole lot more! Frank is a Georgia native, a dad, and a lifelong storyteller. He’s written four books, the fourth of which will be published in 2026. In high school and college while his friends were out doing extracurricular things, he was sitting down with a notebook, writing to discover his voice. He’s done that and more, and some of the biggest lessons he’s learned as a writer have come through reading and writing his way to them. Connect with Frankreddyfiction.com@reddyfiction on InstagramSo you’ve always dreamed of writing a book but haven’t done it yet…why not? It’s not because you don’t have what it takes… you do.It’s not because you don’t have the time, and it’s not because you don’t have the right tools. I’ve become convinced that the main thing holding you back from finally writing that book is your mindset. For far too long, we have subscribed to limiting beliefs that have sabotaged our goals, undercut our progress, and kept us from chasing our dreams of writing. Not anymore. Your story deserves to be written, and you’re the only person who can write it. Fear and imposter syndrome are not the authors here - you are. The best way to battle your limiting beliefs is to get words on the page, and to keep going when it gets tough. My name is T.C. Burr, and I am so excited to walk with you on this writing journey, and to encourage you every step of the way. Because it’s not that you haven’t written your book, it’s just that you haven’t written it yet. Let’s change that.
