Finish Like It's Finished
from God Loves Small Talk · host Pastor Savoie
2 Timothy 4:7 says, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." Paul didn't just start his race—he finished it. And heaven recorded that finish line, not just the first step. God doesn't reward good intentions. He honors finished obedience. We live in a world obsessed with starting, but the Kingdom of God is built by those who finish what He started in them. Jesus never said, "It is finished" until it actually was. And too many of us are claiming victory while leaving assignments half done. Almost finished doesn't carry Kingdom weight. Heaven applauds completion, not excitement. The fight of faith is not poetic—it's a wrestling match. There's pushback. Resistance. Fatigue. But fatigue is not failure. Rest when needed—but don't stop. Because your race isn't private. Others are watching. And your finish may unlock someone else's beginning. If the Apostle Paul could say, "I have finished," then we must press to do the same. No matter how hard, lonely, or quiet it gets. Finish your course. Keep the faith. And refuse to quit halfway through. God doesn't give medals for starters. He crowns the faithful. So today, take one task, one call, one prayer—and complete it. Don't say, "I'll get to it." Get to it. Finish like it's finished. Because your finish matters to God. And the world needs to see what obedience looks like in full.
