Finish What He Started

"Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit." (Ecclesiastes 7:8 KJV) God isn't impressed with how you start. Heaven is watching how you finish. The Kingdom doesn't give participation trophies—it rewards perseverance. We serve a God who finishes what He starts. And if you're made in His image, so should you. When He formed you, He saw the end from the beginning. He didn't design you for almost. He shaped you for completion. There's no celebration for "almost made it." We don't honor people who nearly finished the race. We honor those who press through the pain, the doubt, and the delays—and cross the line. Finishing isn't glamorous. It's gritty. It's hard. But the satisfaction? Unmatched. The enemy fights hardest when you're closest to done—not because you're weak, but because you're dangerous. Consistency is spiritual warfare. The enemy can't stop your calling, but he will try to delay your finish. If he can distract you, he can drain you. But hear me: pressure doesn't mean failure. It means you're still in the race. Paul didn't brag about being popular. He bragged about finishing. He said, "I've fought the good fight. I've finished the race. I've kept the faith." That's the goal. That's the win. So this week, finish one thing. Doesn't matter how small. Do it. Finish it. Practice the habit of completion. Heaven is not just looking for gifts—it's looking for finishers. Other people aren't better than you. They just didn't quit. Remember, God loves small talk and God loves you.
