Finishing Casks and the Business of Barrel Reselling with Skyler Weekes

In this episode of the Vint Podcast,  Brady and Billy hear from the founder and CEO of Rocky Mountain Barrel Company, Skyler Weekes. Skyler's business competes in a unique sector of the wine and whisky market as a reseller of used barrels and casks. Much of RMBC's business is selling "finishing" casks to producers and amassing a diverse stock of Rum, Sherry, Bourbon, and Port (and much more) casks to be sold for a second use. Sky's insights into both worlds of wine and spirits really ads color to a part of the industry that we knew very little about...He is also formally trained as a sommelier and talks a bit about how he uses his instincts for tasting, blending, and flavor pairing to advise clients toward the right casks for their final product.
