Fire Attempt Thwarted at Juneteenth Museum

A suspect tried to torch Juneteenth celebration supplies outside Boston’s historic Museum of African American History, sparking outrage and an active police investigation. The museum, led by CEO Dr. Noelle Trent, condemned the act as deliberate and deeply unsettling—especially given the site’s irreplaceable legacy as the nation’s oldest Black church. Despite the threat and damage, the museum vows to proceed with its free Juneteenth block party, honoring resilience and community spirit. Authorities are urgently seeking the individual responsible.
