Fire Displaces 48 Indiana Veterans, IPS Board Election Most Expensive Since 2020, How Minors Can Pre-Register to Vote, HSE Candidate Hires Family Friend Charged with Child Sex Crimes

from WFYI News Now

A transitional housing property for homeless veterans recently caught fire in Indianapolis and it could take months for those veterans to find permanent housing. There are eight candidates in the race for the Indianapolis Public Schools Board. Indiana, like many states, allows minors under the age of 18 to pre-register to vote, so when they’re of-age they can cast their ballot. A candidate for the Hamilton Southeastern School Board hired a family friend in 2022 who was charged with sexual crimes against children in another state.
