Fire Weather Watch Issued for Northern Arizona This Weekend

Send us a text and chime in!A Fire Weather Watch will be in effect for all Northern Arizona fire zones from Friday morning through Sunday evening as strong winds and very low humidity are expected to create dangerous wildfire conditions. The National Weather Service in Flagstaff says conditions will become drier and breezier heading into the weekend, with the highest concerns expected Saturday, when southwest wind gusts could reach 45 to 50 mph. Before the watch begins, scattered afternoon thunderstorms are possible Wednesday and Thursday, mainly along and north of the Mogollon Rim.
