Fired Up For Friday #1: January 30, 2026, Eximperitus, Shine, Redwood and Profane Elegy
from The Distorted Dialogue Podcast · host Metal Institute of Thrashology
Welcome to the first episode of Fired Up Fridays on the Metal Institute of Thrashology, a series where I give you a few albums that are being released this Friday, and what my opinion is of them. In this very first episode, we have the releases of four new albums, from various subgenera and styles of metal, but all are damn good specimens of riffage. First up we have Eximperitus and their newest release, "The Meritoriousness of Equanimity", which is a crushing death metal or extreme metal offering. Following up their level of metal madness, we swing into another heavyweight in Shine's "Wrathcult" , keeping the death and deluge going. We lighten up for a bit and catch some grooves with the psych rockers in Redwood and their contribution of confusion, "Time to Lose". And bringing up the tailed of the roster is the Pennsylvania punisher in Profane Elegy and their album Herezjarcha. This thing is blackened, and killer. I really enjoyed these four, and with so many more coming out, what are you excited for on January 30's releases. What did I miss from the rest of January that had your head banging? Let me know, I need to know!🫀ALL HUMAN MUSIC ONLY🫀(Email me at [email protected] if AI snuck through, for immediate removal)🚨TO HAVE YOUR MUSIC REVIEWED👇🚨🔗sbmt.to/metalinstituteofthrashology —Submit Hub Link Or🔗https://bit.ly/4iJZMZA —Groover Profile LinkWelcome to the Metal Institute of Thrashology, Whether you’re looking for the newest, heaviest, most extreme metal riffs, or you need something that fits the mood, you have come to the right place.
