Firefighters Need Your Vote | Spokane News

Northern Lakes Fire District is asking voters to approve a $4.5 million levy to keep 21 firefighters on staff—risking losing a third of their crew without it. Fire Chief Kevin Croffoot says the funding is essential to retain recently hired personnel and cover rising costs of critical safety gear. Without passage, response times will suffer and stations may revert to two-person crews, jeopardizing service in a rapidly growing area. The ballot measure appears November 3rd—with a handy household impact calculator available online. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
