First 48 in NYC!

I’ve been home in NYC for roughly 48 hours, and I’ve already done so much 😂 I’m sharing my travel, my first day fresh off the plane and into the arms of my best friend, Lorena! We grabbed breakfast and ate it at the park, went and got our nails done together, and finished off with a little retail therapy because I needed shoes for the wedding. Then, I made my way to the city, and my grandma welcomed me in a way that only a grandma can! I got the chance to celebrate my niece and nephews’ birthdays at Chuck E. Cheese with my family, and that was all day one!Wedding day! Somehow, I always forget a toothbrush. Yes, I’m that person 😂 I went to grab a toothbrush and breakfast and started my day. My bestie accompanied me to my really great friend Lauren’s wedding, and wow, what a beautiful celebration of love! Congratulations, Lauren and Jess 🎉💕 Not only did I get to see my girl Lauren, but I got to see my junior high/high school best friend, Sam!If you’re a return Lander, you may have heard me talk about Sam in old episodes. Sam saved my life when we were in high school.TRIGGER WARNING: I was depressed and suicidal.I was contemplating living, and I told Sam, and Sam told her dad. I learned tonight that Sam thought I was upset with her because of it, but little did she know, I was so grateful.Fast forward to years later and a similar situation where I had to let my friends know how I was feeling during my recent tough season. It reminded me of Sam and her love and compassion and how I wasn’t alone. I’m reminding you that neither are you. You are never alone because you will always have me. Sometimes, we need that reminder, and we need that support.This episode is a love letter to myself and a reminder of the goodness of God and how, when you seek Him, you will find Him because He has always been there.
