First Contact: ‘The Wounded’ Season 4 Episode 12

The Enterprise is patrolling the Cardassian border when it’s attacked in contravention of the recent peace treaty. The Cardassians reveal that a Federation starship has been destroying their ships without provocation. Picard is ordered to work alongside their old enemy to investigate and to keep the peace at all costs. They track down Benjamin Maxwell, the renegade captain of the USS Phoenix, who claims the Cardassians are building up their weapons reserves with a view to restarting the war. With help from O’Brien who previously served with Maxwell, they bring the starship back to Federation space, but was there truth in his claims?
