First Friday: Extravagant Devotion to Jesus

from MAPS Global Sermons

R.A. Martinez opens the story of the anointing of Jesus at Bethany in Mark 14. Mary of Bethany, who was the one who to stay at Jesus' feet, who chose the one necessary thing above all others, who poured everything she had inherited, earned, and desired upon Jesus' head, hands and feet. This extravagant offering of worship is what will fill the nations before the return of Jesus. God is raising up people who will choose to live out this kind of extravagant devotion and who will build communities that will be filled with the "lost fragrance of the Garden of Eden".
