Summary: First Lady Melania Trump reconvened her "Fostering the Future Together" coalition during the 81st United Nations General Assembly, expanding the initiative and announcing new commitments. Coalition growth: The global coalition focused on empowering children through technology and education has expanded to 57 (also described as "nearly 60") participating nations, with leaders present from the UK, South Korea, the Philippines, Poland, Ukraine, Turkey, the UAE, Panama, Canada, and others. Upcoming events announced: A G20-linked event hosted by Melania Trump in Miami in December 2026. An ASEAN Conference event hosted by Philippine First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos in Manila. A European Regional Meeting hosted by Polish First Lady Marta Nawrocka this winter. A Caribbean Regional Meeting hosted by Saint Kitts and Nevis First Lady Diani Prince-Drew before year's end. Private-sector partnerships: New technology partnerships were announced with Adobe, Amazon, Intel, Starlink, Google, and Zoom. Apple's Tim Cook and PayPal CEO Enrique Lores also attended. Key themes from her remarks: Mrs. Trump emphasized that leaders' legacies will be measured by what they leave for future generations, framed "empowerment" as giving children confidence and tools to use technology wisely, and cautioned that "access alone is not empowerment." She referenced the initiative's launch at the 80th UN General Assembly and a subsequent Global Coalition Summit in Washington, D.C., which she said brought the largest assembly of First Spouses ever convened at the White House for diplomatic purposes.
