Chip was nominated by his wife Tammy and she had this to say: "I nominate my husband Chip Ward. Not only does he have a full-time job where he works 55 hours a week. He is also a volunteer fireman and EMT with a Berlin Township fire department. Just about all "volunteer" fire departments get paid per fire except for Berlin Township fire department. They are 100% volunteer. Not only does he risk his life for free. He also helps saves lives for free being an EMT. I'm very proud of my husband."
