First Responders: The Life You Save Might Be Your Own

from Positive Connections Radio · host MHNR Network, LLC

First RespondersThe Life You Save Might Be Your OwnMeghan Mirabal is our guest today on Positive Connections Radio. Meghan is a former First Responder who worked in ICU/Cardiac Critical Care to provide advanced medical services to patients. She is now a case manager at First Responder Wellness located in Newport Beach California and works solely with First Responders in treatment for mental health issues including PTS, trauma and addictions. She is currently working on her Master’s program as a Marriage and Family Therapist and shares her passion for helping First Responders. Meghan touches on how First Responders deal with trauma to the highest capacity and often are so busy taking care of others' lives, fail to take care of their own. She understands that for many of us it is not the question of who we have saved, it’s a question of who we haven't. The cases you can’t shake, the nightmares that keep us up at night.
