First Sunday After Christmas Day, December 31, 2023, 10:45 A.M. Sunday Worship Service

Hello there! We hope you have had a Merry Christmas and a wonderful time in celebrating all other holidays that are important and meaningful to you. This time of year is full of different holiday celebrations, and we believe there is room for all of them! Today is New Year's Eve and we hope that if you choose to celebrate the ending of this year and the beginning of the next, that the time is full of wonderful memories, joy filled hearts, and loved ones all around you. God loves you more than you will ever know, and there is nothing you can ever do to change that. You are a sibling of Jesus Christ and a beloved child of God, made in God's image, and beautiful just the way you are. Today is the first Sunday after Christmas Day and we are closing out our Advent/Christmas sermon series, "Where We Belong." On Christmas Eve, Pastor Michael preached about the interesting opening to John's Gospel and what it really means that the "Word was made flesh." Pastor Michael is always striving to connect Scripture with our daily lives, and encourages everyone to ask questions and try to be willing to re-examine our theology and understandings of God and the world. Also today during our worship time together we will be singing some songs, sharing in some liturgy (don't worry, it's all in the bulletin - see link below), lifting some prayers, and hearing some Scripture readings.
