First Time Pictures - Adaptation (2002)
from First Time Pictures Hosted by First time Pictures
This week, Anthony and Julian sit down to talk about Adaptation., the wildly creative film from director Spike Jonze starring Nicolas Cage in one of the most unique performances of his career. Anthony first saw the movie in film class and has considered it a favorite ever since, while Julian experiences the film for the very first time. Having already covered a few Nicolas Cage movies before, this one makes for an especially interesting discussion as the guys compare it to the larger-than-life Cage performances they’re used to seeing. They break down the film’s strange structure, its themes about creativity and storytelling, and the way it constantly blurs the line between reality and fiction.
