Fish And Loaves . . .

The opportunities to give seem to happen at the most inconvenient times, and in the most desolate places.  "Now when it was evening, the disciples came to Him and said, 'This is a desolate place, and the day is now over; send the crowds away to go into the villages and buy food for themselves.'  Jesus replied, 'They need not go away; you give them something to eat." Matthew 14:15-16 The little we have is made much when surrendered to an all-sufficient God.  "There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many?'  Jesus said, 'Have the people sit down.'  Now there was much grass in the place.  So the men sat down, about five thousand in number.  Jesus then took the loaves, and when He had given thanks, He distributed them to those who were seated.  So also the fish, as much as they wanted." John 6:9-11  "And those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children."  Matthew 14:21 God has a way of multiplying the effect of our limited resources.  The sacrifice in giving is never greater than the outpouring of God's blessing.  "And they all ate and were satisfied.  And they took up twelve baskets full of the broken pieces left over." (Matthew 14:20)
