Fishers of Men

from Grenola UMC Sermons Hosted by Grenola UMC

When Jesus called His first disciples by the sea, He invited them to leave their nets and follow Him into a new kind of work—becoming fishers of men. Like Isaiah’s vision of God’s holiness, this call begins with awe, confession, and cleansing, then moves into mission. Paul reminds us that the message of the cross may seem like foolishness to the world, but it is the very power of God. The risen Christ, seen by many witnesses, is the foundation of our faith and the reason we proclaim Him still. Join us as Pastor Kenny shares how Christ’s call to be fishers of men continues to shape the Church’s purpose today.
