Oh my gosh, I am literally sitting on my back porch overlooking my pond and doing the forecast show from here this evening. It has been, the weather here has been magnificent. I've been talking to all my guys this week. Obviously, we're going to be talking to all of them here in the next hour, and it doesn't sound very good.
But right now, because I got a lot of questions for Captain Ricky for what's up, buddy. Hey man, how are we going? Good. How are you?
How are you? I'm wonderful. It's a weather been better there today than it is here because it just doesn't get any better than this, buddy. It's very nice.
It's a little bit cool in the morning, but I kind of like that anyway. Absolutely. Windy though, really windy. Yeah, literally yesterday, it was 45, high and blowing.
It was like something in January. I mean, it was it was flipping cold today. There was no wind and it was it was absolutely beautiful. So, you know, the one thing that you and I love to talk about is offshore fishing.
And what I think the while who shoot out comes to a conclusion at the end of this weekend, is that right? Yeah, the 22nd, that's right. Sunday. Okay.
All right. And I did send the text out to Paul because I was a politician obviously, and I was really curious, you know, I'm like, Hey, you know, what's give me an update, you know, and the kind of the first thing that came out of this text that I saw was, you know, fishing has been poor, you know, as in one of this, it hasn't been great. And do you feel the same way? I do.
I mean, on the whole for the for the for the entirety of the shoot out, it's been kind of been bad. I mean, even the great days that you know, we had three days of water fishing for the year that were, you know, for the shoot out for the tournament that were really good fishing days, but even those three days were subpar two years prior. Okay. And I don't think it's going to get better.
Yeah. You were talking about the for the next two days. That's right. Okay.
Yeah. I obviously I'm like you. I look at the forecast way too many times a day. And the only day that I could see is is is Saturday looks like it's going to be doable.
So is there is the ocean going to be packed on Saturday? I don't think so. I think that a lot of guys are kind of feeling like, you know, there's not very many walk around why go get beat up or nothing. And I want to see, you know, to win would be not really easy, you know, 220 pounds is leading it right now.
And then second place is like 210 and third place is 195. I think you want to get down below that 156 pounds to be in fourth place. That's that's a doable thing. I mean, right, right, right.
So just just just to let folks know that's a three fish aggregate, correct? That's right. Okay. Right.
So yeah, that's a two, two, two, two, two, two, two, two, two, two, two, two, two, two, two, which was the record Ricky? What, I mean, what we had some amazing, you know, wahoo shootout tournaments. What? What were some of the numbers?
I believe it was 315 per three fish. That's right. I know they have over a hundred pound. Yeah.
Yeah. They had over a hundred pound average per fish. That's. And when you said that when you said, you know, 210, 215, I was thinking, you know, obviously that is outstanding.
Don't get me wrong. But I can remember when we had a three hundred pound aggregate. know like oh my god you know um but it because we've talked about this also Ricky um do you feel like that the Wahoo Fishin was better in November in December or was it just a poor year all around? It was a semi poor year all around I think I think we've seen worse but it was um yeah so like October was really slow like interestingly enough like last year was maybe the best October and November we've ever had right okay and this year October and November were pretty slow not horrible but slow and we're all expecting the ramp up you know I was anyway January, February, March it's gonna ramp up and we're gonna just it's gonna be off the chain well that never happened um we did have a couple like I say two or three days that were there was a lot of fish around people were you know you could go get five or six wasn't wasn't you know that wasn't unheard of lots about did it but it was just for a couple of days here and there I think the fish pushed through here so fast and I don't know what the reasoning was for that I mean I bet I can come up with was that chlorophyll and cold water that you know nasty green water and cold all the way out to the break for two to three weeks they're in February that's that's that's unheard of we've never said almost never happened yeah it's um whenever you start talking about pelagic fish you don't you really don't know what affects them you know I mean and it's just like you know kingfish I mean you know last year I thought we were gonna have just an unbelievably banner year on king fishing on the beach and the wrecks and stuff and and bro after the end of June it was over I mean there was a few fish here and there but um you know and I'm with you I mean obviously we had a little thermocline but you know how much did that affect them we really don't know and then when you talk about wahoo fishing and you're trying to figure it out and you know put two and two together it makes it it makes it very tough all right so where do we go from here Ricky let's just say that we're gonna for your charter business you're gonna you're gonna wrap everything up on Saturday and Sunday and and I got I got I got mr.
Johnson calling you for an eight ten hour trip in the next two weeks what are we doing we're probably gonna try to split the trip up looking for kovia okay and trolin for mahi's yeah mahi are have already started to show up to the spell okay yes and I don't have a firsthand report on that so I'm not right positive those fish were on this side of the Gulf stream but the guys through the south of us got them pretty good last week and you know that's usually how it starts they'll be one little push of fish come through and then it'll start getting better and better and and you know as the days go on the water temperature you know had been warming up kind of rapid and we were already starting to see these big eddy pools so you know that's springtime water behavior that's what you know that's what happens that's not what you're in but it's just all happening a little early so I don't know you know we've had a poor mahi season for multiple years in a row we had a couple couple good ones back to back you know three four years ago but I look forward to a great mahi season this year and the one thing you know we've talked about several times on you know months ago but Marlin Bill Fish in general sale fish and blue Marlin we have not seen bill fishing this good in you know in years so right I'm looking forward to that hopefully hopefully that becomes a you know something something positive for us to do around here yeah and do you look at me here okay I mean so if you're going out with mr. Johnson on a 10-hour trip and and he's like I'd like to I'd like to troll around for Marlin and selfish is that trolling Bally who what are we doing yeah absolutely we're gonna go and Bally who we're gonna pull some lures just try to see what we can do but you know we're not gonna give it long we're gonna give it's three four hours and see what it turns out yeah it's one thing I've learned about any any type of the lage fish fishing they're either here or they're not here if you're you know they bite if you're not catching them it's cuz they're not there right right right so I've had first-hand reports that the Kobe efficient down south has been outstanding so you know and I know that's a by the way this always happens every year you know you get the you know I mean last week it's 88 degrees or whatever it was and the water temperature got all we have to study and then you know I know we'll talk about shit we go coming up and I mean he saw he saw water temperatures in the 50s again this week so that happens that'll knock back you know the flow of the of the Kobe run but the one thing that it really won't knock back very much Ricky is the offshore Kobe fishing you know I mean most people think about Kobe run they think about on the beach you know on the Bay Pods obviously on the manorades and things like that and that's that's really you got to have really good weather mid-April to the end of May for St. Augustine you know and then obviously gradually goes south from there but you know it's offshore I mean I've gone with you I've gone with just a m and I mean how we caught Kobe in January yeah absolutely it's been a it's been bad for co-pia this year though right I can't think of a person who has caught a Kobe all winter long how about that interesting yeah and a lot of people who are fish for him yeah yeah yeah yeah that's all good all right well I hope that I know that you said you got what an insurance this week tomorrow that's right tomorrow I'm going on an insurance hopefully Saturday I'll be fishing offshore but this is not looking promising I know all right buddy good luck I appreciate it all right thank you yeah Captain Ricki before check it in on the ring power fishing forecast you don't go anywhere we got kept chip we go when we come back the ring power fishing forecast show with Captain Kevin Faber real did by a week in 180 weight loss and Royal Pass services on 1010 XL baby it was all that made me want to go back to the ring power fishing forecast show I'm Kevin Faber once again sitting in the fortune my land Georgia and my very very good buddy my very very good friend who cuts and fishes with me up here kept going to was supposed to be sitting on the porch with me this evening but what you know a charter what's the deal there kept you best laid plans is all I can but your aims and fors trust me I was going to be up there oh man I you know obviously you know whenever whenever I'm not on you know charter some stuff that there's you know there's the forecast group all of us are charter captain all of us are fishing all the time and and you know living vicariously through you guys this week oh just sound terrible you know what it is as a matter of fact we went like like two days between all of us without a text I'm going all right you know somebody's either mad at me you know like I mean because you know we're always in the pictures and each other and stuff like that because that's what we do but this is the time of year when you know as a charter captain and as a fisherman we really start looking forward to other fisheries you know I mean in let's face it December January February it is what it is it's in short fishing maybe you know for me I try to get off the beach and do some sea bass fishing something like that but for the most part we're red trout blounder that's what we're fishing for whenever whenever we get into you know the latter part of March and into April what what what do you want to do different because you're like me and by the way I hate to call people clients and because these are my friends all right they are and and 90% of the time they're like we'll do whatever whatever you know you think is best but if you know just like I was just asking you know Ricky you know if if you know Mr. Johnson called you know he wants to do a 10 hour trip offshore what are we gonna go do and right now what I mean are you gonna try to go black drum fishing or are you gonna do something different I'm gonna look for the black drum because the big ones have shown up they're in there in the river and up you know in the inlets and offshore as well but I'm gonna try to catch them in shore obviously and the trout bite you know I know that we have the big blow in the big cool down but adults hopefully as long as that water stays clear not the trout bite should be good you know and I'm and what I'm looking forward to Kevin honestly the Jack's the blues the lady fish yes the lady fish yes yeah yeah so you can go bend the rod then I can catch a couple lady fish and use those for bait and catch bigger fish you know because you know I guess bull-redsy around and you know and then and you have a day where you can actually go out and bend the rods on all kinds of species you know instead of just targeting on redfish because those days when those redfish don't want to bite or they bite in a short window it's just it's horrible you know you're running a gun and you know I'll give him credit just go ahead no no go ahead I'll give him credit Travis Wilson has done well this past week on redfish I mean you know he's gone out on the starters and produced and I mean he was telling me that he's running a gun and looking for that that one 45 minute window when they're gonna bite in that area right you know and you know you gotta make sure Bates up like Leon and I talk all the time about at this time of year you gotta have crab shrimp you've got to have mudmanos you know fiddler crabs I mean Captain Wayne likes to throw the wings into their likes and throw the fiddler crabs on a pop of corgum against the grass and hammers right fish like that so this time of year so it's just a matter of trying to find what they want to eat not found it seems like you know when it's cold these fish want a smaller bait anyway right they don't want a giant shrimp they don't want a big mullet you know they'd rather have a piece of mullet or you know a small fiddler crab or something which makes sense you know and because they were turning towards mullet and then a truck winter temperature drop down and now it's like they don't want a whole mall they want a piece right now what what did the water temperature get down to 59 oh what I saw was it was it 70 last week yeah it was close to 70 I think it was areas they hit 72 I'm curious to see what Rob says tonight on what the temperatures are up the river because they had temperatures up to 74 I think you know yeah but I mean we got another warming term coming and it's it's just being patient with the weather we just got to go out and fish you know as much as we as we go through the bad we get the good really good so you know it's it's every day you know yeah yeah oh my gosh yeah house fish had been kept you know I mean seriously you know I mean I had some I had a trip tomorrow and it's a it's family of mine you know and you know they're on spring break and you know I'm like look you guys don't they live in Gainesville I'm like I don't I don't really want you to drive all the way from Gainesville to fish in North at 20 and and fish just hasn't been good you know I mean it's it's a if it was if it was what it was last week I'd be just as anybody else but you know to go out there in in 20 hot winds especially North wind ship you know what I mean yeah North or South I don't want oh it's it's it's it's absolutely awful so you know I just I postponed the trip because like I said yeah I'm up here first off and it's absolutely beautiful and you know I kept getting y'all's reports and I'm like oh yeah so so give me there's two things that you mentioned whatever you catch a lady fish is it as as as simple as as chucking it or do you filet it what what no I'll cut it okay I'll cut a stake out about inch and a half two inches you know using the picture seven not circle hook and I use a really high dollar circle that I really liked it's super strong and super sharp you know and you know I'll send that down because it's I you know if you catch a crocrus I want to use crocrus I'm catching yellow mouse I want to use the yellow mouse right you know it seems to be they're gonna feed on the bigger fishing to feed on whatever's in you know right maps in the hatch so to speak but you know it's really you know you say that you ask them what I did and it reminded me I did see some ribbon fish the other day yeah I've heard that a little ribbon fish and that disappeared you know and I know there was some Spanish mackerel caught today so all that gets me fired up because I know what's coming you know and and you know I look forward to the you know the little tundies on the beach now right show up in the Spanish mackerel and but I like to use cut nail on times for the bulls you know or butterfly something you know or a live bait but crabs this time of year I don't seem to use as much you know just because it's cold as crabs like to bury up when that water's cold yeah and I just think it's more natural to use what's going on out there but you know it's you know ladies work perfectly so so your your big drum bait you know I've always heard obviously crab is probably number one but it sounds like that's a problem right now trying to try to find crab clams yep I'll do you know I like I told you about a little bag I like to make right I get that little mesh bag and I'll put a piece of crab in it I'll take a shrimp and peel it and kind of mash it up put it in there and a piece of clam and then it's about size of a little bit bigger than a you know like a silver dollar half dollar size sometimes a little bit bigger and you make a ball out of it and then you put your circle hook in it on the outside and twist it up and hook it like you would you know bridal of bait I know that's a weird way to say it but that way I have a sit down there that's giving shrimp crab and clam and I'm like here it is boys it's time to eat yeah and that way you're covering all the bases I know that's a lot of yeah there's a lot of big drum being caught up towards Nassau Sound right now you know in the 40 pound range and that that tells me they're gonna be there in the river but with that also being said I think the water temperature up there was warmer which was weird I think yesterday it was warmer up there than it was in the river of the Nassau Sound area so but I mean with the drum it seems like they like that colder waters sometimes you know when they start with it so I so I have a copio question for you because I know I know that like me you you a fish for a copio on the beach for for years when because as a young man teenager 20 in my 20s I tried it way too early every year you know what I mean I'm like oh they got to be there and I find a pretty day in March and run the beach until I'm in a gas and never see anything so what's the earliest on the beach that you've caught copia I would say it was probably halfway through April yeah I've seen them you know a lot of times when you say that about running Kevin sometimes I like to get get out and run from like Mayport up to Nassau and just run the kind of run the beach and look because there are a lot of the triple tail show up early earlier so you know you might find triple tail free swimming or on pieces whatever and then you know in your you're keeping your eye out and another thing I'll do to you is sometimes I'll just run out there and if you got a good rip line don't just run the rip line to look it never hurts the look no it seems like when they show up it's such a surprise they're like man they're here you know yeah so you know if you have the right client or friend which they all are and look you weren't if you're interested in doing this let's go do this and then we'll do something else but yeah I'll start looking soon I mean it's gonna be the right day on the beach to you you know but you can always do that in the afternoon so that's a great point you know to if you're if if folks are like me I want to go try to find you know array on the beach well go do something else before 11 o'clock 12 o'clock because you're you're really not gonna see you're not gonna see much before then now if you find a bay pod you might find a fish on it or or a red fish or a big Jack or shark or you know there's a lot of things to do but if you're if you're just looking for you know to catch a cobia off a ray that 11 o'clock to 2 3 o'clock in the afternoon when the sun's up as high as it could be and you could see and that's when the rays come up to feed and when obviously when they come up to be official with them so yeah I'm already looking forward to that and by the way I did catch Ladyfish and Bluefish last week you know on the trip and I was like oh hell yeah that was fun it's a nice bluefish you know so legit you know two to four pounders between and I did not I did not catch a damn red but man we blistered the trout jump yeah that's the way my day was last week when I was down that down your way we caught everything you could imagine other than red fish is everything that swam you know from sharks to rays yeah we caught sharks yeah yeah we did the same thing you know and it's always you know and it's always you know and it's for sweet they're like you know we just want one nice red fish for dinner and you know just one just and we're catching beautiful trout and you know they don't give you a great time but you know as a charter captain you're like come on you know just just just one to enter you know yeah I know right I got a question for you real quick Kevin I know it's running out here when do you look for you start looking for your poogies on the beach oh I have found plenty of poogies at the end of March yeah yeah and and I've got scouts out now you know friends of mine that live on the beach and this that the other and they're they've seen they've already seen a lot of diving birds the only the only problem with them this time of year is whenever you have the water that's this cold they don't they don't have a tendency to school up as tight and and they're really they're really skittish they're very very very fast so to throw a net on them sometimes is is tough but yes I have absolutely caught caught caught and and fish with poogies at the end of March awesome yeah I was just curious because I'll get any damn right back to the jetties yeah all right man have a great day okay I appreciate you you got it yeah later cap chit wingo check it in on the ring power fishing forecast show when the when we come back we got cap Leon data and he's literally just let me a picture he's putting his boat on the trailer right now so we'll get a first hand report of what he caught be right back Hey folks Captain Favorite here in our new looking for an aggressive use car price then you need to start with my friends at the all-new Mazda at the same up to me look we're talking about the incredible values on a huge selection of quality cars trucks and SUVs price to move and back by 18 with transparent people not to mention that it must have stayed on the scene most of their use vehicles come with a lifetime warranty who does that and don't forget to explore Mazda's sleek new lineup with cutting-edge technology advanced safety features and really performs this is a day 1165 marketplace drive and 10 on the scene or shop online at Mazda and stay on the scene dot com give us a call at 904 460-1600 that's 904 460-1600 the ring power fishing forecast show real in by awaken 180 weight loss and royal past services on 10 10 XL welcome back to the ring power fishing forecast show I'll cap Kevin Favorite mentally absolutely magnifically beautiful afternoon while it's a for kind of what we went through this week let's go talk to Kevin Leon data because Leon I was I was seeing pictures of you this week when you're doing double charters and and and I couldn't even tell who you were because you had so many clothes on yeah Kevin it's been a man it's been a blip on the weather schedule ever since we do no doubt about that but it'll get even serious thanks for having me on the air deceiving sir ever since that cold front came through right after TPC has been a flip trip I mean we were wide open to the part of the door for a great number of fish down but the cold front where everything's upside down it's up to 30 water temperatures back down to 66 degrees water clarity is in that bet it's not good because we still got a lot of rain will run off coming from that rain we had a couple days ago Kevin the bike has been I mean a nice way of saying it is for I mean it's bad I mean I got I did anything this morning I got catfish in a stingray yesterday afternoon and this evening I caught one red fish one red fish only in his belly looked like a bloated football and when I cleaned it it was slap full of those damn worms oh no yes sir that totally explains why this fight is shut down completely for at least a week on top of a cold front to push through it turned everything upside down Kevin yeah and and so what Leon's talking about is we have a worm hatch usually the middle of March and they went when this worm hatch happens every fish that you could think of eat them I mean I'm talking bluefish to to black drum to whitening everything eats these things because they only live for a day and when they die they don't eat them they want to eat them when they're alive and when it gets like that you can forget it and I was you know it always happens this time of year Leon and it makes so much sense because everybody that you know that we've talked to this week they're like dude we're not catching anything and how about that that's that's really interesting Devin it's spot on I talked to everybody you can imagine it's from a kayak to a to a guy to a personal friend of the water everyone's struggling right now this week it's just been that way I mean they're just gorgeous on these mother I threw mudmenos I threw shrimp I threw crab that got one fish on a mudman that's it and like I said the day before I think I caught in the morning before I caught that stingray and catfish I thought a black drum and a shark I mean it has been it's been done it yes but they're just jumping on bridges with one for another next I mean it's so bad this week but we all know what's going on and this too shall pass it will it will it absolutely will yep yep it can only get better but I um it I'll be honest with you Leon when you said that text out this morning because I haven't seen anything from you guys in two days and you just talked about how bad it was I mean I was like I had a trip tomorrow when I'm like I gotta do that I mean there's no reason to abuse yourself like that and it's supposed to blow 20 out of the north which is just awful you know this this time of year and by the way you know I know we say it in February and you know March has some March has brutal days it has better days you know as in more better days to fish than February but when it gets like this it still makes fishing very tough and and like it's just it's not fun when it's cold and windy you know I mean exactly like I said this morning's stronger I was two hours into it I looked at my clients and we ain't got a fish yet we ain't got a bike yet and it's current is smoking it's always a win let's go we'll do it again another day and that's exactly what we did I got no problem pulling the plug on it started when we're not having fun I'm glad we do it another day that's that's funny because I have um you know I'm doing trips on the beach you know I run down the matazis and you know I run back and to the gate station and you know I'm talking to I don't know eight other charter captains and nobody's finding any bait and it's not like the nicest day and I do the same thing I'm like I'm gonna have it right I mean I can you know we could we could go in the salt run and throw the net a hundred times and maybe catch a dozen baits and by that time it's noon you know what I mean so so yes I mean there are times just let people know there are times as a charter captain you just pull the plug you're just like you know what we'll do this another day you know what I mean I'll suck up the gas and it is what it is but there's certainly there's certainly there's certainly days bro that's like you said after two hours you get that you get that feeling in your gut you're like okay this is not gonna get no better boys or I don't need a brush to be here right you know and you know here's the other thing you all of us do we all have you know folks that fish with us I don't know four five six seven times a year you know what I mean and and they know that of those you know four five six seven trips there's there's gonna be one maybe maybe two days maybe two yeah maybe two yeah generally one generally one that you're just gonna have a bad day you know it just it just happens it happens to to the best of us you know I had people all the time they're like man you know I was listening to you know to Leon and Chip and that sounds like they're blistered to fish I'm like well they they are right now and then and then this week happens you know but we joke you know we're only as good as yesterday you know I mean we know what's going on we know how to catch fish but damn it they're a wild creature and just like today I put the final nail in the coffin was pulling that one big fat red fish up I mean he looked like he swallowed a softball yeah I popped him it was just green gunk everywhere yep and that's why they're not eating that's exactly right I mean I've caught him to the point to where they're actually throwing up those worms yes and they're so they're so stuffed with them and I'm like well it and then by the way folks the other thing is is that if whenever you're launching your boat you could you could look down in the water and see these worms I mean this is you know you can you can see them everywhere they're about two inches long kind of like a sort of pink pink and when you see that just in two or three other contact or go for a really nice boat ride with the beverage one of the other so it looks to be like it's gonna warm up Leon I mean I see tomorrow I'm sorry it doesn't look that good I'll see 15 to 20 on the north but then but then Saturday Southwest at five maybe maybe we'll get a break and then it's supposed to blow again on Sunday and Monday that what you're seeing I'm seeing that too but at the same time we got some really the tide in my personal opinion are not at their best we're looking at a late afternoon tide late afternoon low tide if you got out early in the morning you're already catching an income and type of your chasing fish already man I mean if you got the window on Saturday yeah go ahead do that but you got something else new I wouldn't cry we're spilled milk this weekend no sir I wouldn't not with a run hatch not with a wind not with holy cow the current is cranking too all right well he thought now be safe going home and thank you for the report I appreciate it I'm sitting in line right now at the gas station ready to put 50 down the field in this beast and cry all the way home how much I spent yeah no kidding no kidding all right buddy have a good evening take care see you captain Leon David checking in on the re-power fishing forecast when we come back we're gonna talk to Cap Rob Roberts to see if it's gotten any better up around Greco Springs because the reports have not been good so far we'll be right back this is the ring power fishing forecast show reeled in by royal pest services and a week in 180 weight loss on 10 10 XL welcome back to the re-power fishing forecast so let's get right to it because we got to take a little earlier break because obviously we got basketball and everything else but I want to get some reports from Captain Rob Roberts because he had some text out today that kind of caught my eye what's up what's up Rob not a lot I'm kind of glad it's a short segment so so you're basically this is so interesting to me because you know so like when Chip Wingo is fishing sisters Creek and let's just say that I'm fishing with Kansas you know that's a long stretch and we talked to people in between and it's like damn we hear the same thing from you know there may be one guy that got on some fish just at the other but it's always interesting to me that it's good it's like everybody it's good for everybody you know when it's bad it's just it's just bad so what interesting thing that you said you like to use you know crab bait system of year but you can't get any yeah I checked all I have five pots that I checked that are usually you know gonna have several crabs and I had no zero crabs called up I hate to buy bait but I called a couple of bait I mean a seafood markets around here and they said they're there their guy said they didn't have any crabs either so a lot of time we just cold it'll just vary up in the mud and yeah so no crowds no finger mullet the shiners I know you said the shiners in your pond the shiners have kind of you know it's weird week yeah my might have disappeared you know I was all fired up to go bass mission and the the only thing honestly the only thing that's feeding in my pond are some of the biggest brim you've ever seen I mean I haven't seen them I mean but man I mean they're they are ferocious right now but I have not seen I had hundreds of shiners off of my dock you know a week ago right and and obviously this water temperature it got cold up here I mean you know it in the in the very very low 30s so yeah it affects everything doesn't it I mean it's so interesting you know listening to your reports on last Thursday were were amazing the pictures of that that giant redfish and white call Doc on and on and on and then this week none of us all of us are struggling you know yeah that week my son called his biggest redfish ever my wife and call her biggest redfish ever right and then this week you know they disappeared you know I had trip last Wednesday night and this was around midnight the water temperature in the river was 76 and yesterday around the Buckman it was lower 60 so I mean you're talking almost you know around double digits it's not you know surface tempter that's ill you know 11 12 degrees you know it is dropped over the last several days so it I think that is like Leon said it just kind of flips the script a little bit on the fish in the bay and everything else so yeah so so are you familiar with what we're calling the warm hatch I you know I hear people talk about it all the time I personally have not seen it in my part of the river but yeah I hear people talk about it and I was just curious if it happens in the St.
John's and obviously it doesn't but I find that very interesting because it is it is absolutely something that we have to deal with the March and there's another one that comes through and there in the summer time but I normally don't have to worry about that because I know that Kingfish don't eat them you know but but absolutely love them and you know the warm hatch that happens in the keys that's that's what everybody goes to our position because they can go flies that looks like that that worm hatch but so I real quick what do you what do you see coming up there up you know looking at the temperatures and stuff it will come up you know in April it's not unusual for us to start jumping our first part in April okay so it you know like I said we can see it coming we just have to get to a couple little couple little cold fronts here and there but it's definitely coming you know we should the redfish before little below they were they were on fire so I expected to be the same way in the next you know two weeks it should be back yeah really it just just don't let people the fish didn't go anywhere you know what I mean that's this weather this weather shuts them down to the point but as soon as this water temperature gets back up these these fish will fire back off again I agree yeah I talked to a friend of mine this afternoon he's a professional bass fisherman he said he said at home this week eating fish he said you know I don't blame you I don't blame you that's that's great thank you buddy I appreciate sure all right I'm gonna go right but yeah Scott Robbins checking in on the rig-power fishing forecast showing folks off or the nimic Chevrolet outdoor show we will all be there long and then Captain Kirk and we're gonna be at Kirby Coe builders live at Kirby Coe builders and there's gonna be plenty of food and stuff like that so come by and see us thank you for listening God have a great weekend see you.
