Ben Pearl, DPM interviewes Greg Smith, former Athletic Trainer for the Washington Capitals. Smith is the medical director for the new 3ICE 3V3 hockey league which is in it’s inaugural season this summer. Smith speculates there will be less impact injuries but more overuse injuries due to the faster open nature of 3-on-3  hockey.  Smith stresses the importance of developing intrinsic foot muscles with the demands of jumping and landing and skating at extreme edge angles in hockey.
