Fit For Sanity ~ for Moms with Irene Gabelnick Irene Gabelnick is a mother of two beautiful girls, an Author, Blogger and a bit of a health & fitness nut. Her true passion is health & fitness and has been an avid runner for most of her life. Over the years Irene has spent countless hours hiking, rock climbing (mainly bouldering), mountain biking, doing yoga, Pilates, strength training and even learned how to surf in Hawaii! Healthy eating has been a big part of Irene's family’s life. She is a pescatarian (a vegetarian who eats fish) and has created numerous healthy and delicious recipes over the years. Her cookbook is coming soon! Irene has always loved helping others and volunteered her time for great causes. For four years she was a member of the Disaster Action Team with the American Red Cross. Irene also taught First Aid and CPR, mentored a refugee through the Prescilla Project and currently educate the public about giving blood and being an organ donor through UNYTS. Her current goal in life is to help other busy moms like me, live a healthy & fit life which she believes is key to living a life of sanity. You can’t take care of your children if you don’t take care of yourself. That’s why Irene created Fit For Sanity. It is a monthly newsletter designed to do exactly that. It provides busy moms simple tips on exercise, eating healthy and living a sane life.
