Five Cuban Workers Lost in Miami Plane Crash | Miami News

Five Cuban immigrants, essential but overlooked airport cleaners, tragically lost their lives when an Amazon cargo plane veered off a Miami runway and collided with their van. Working grueling 8-hour shifts in extreme heat, these men—seen as generous providers and community pillars—were honored by neighbors for their kindness and dedication. Their employer, Professional Ocean Service Corp., called them family, while Amazon pledged full cooperation as the NTSB investigates. The South Florida community mourns deeply, remembering not just workers, but heroes whose unseen labor kept air travel running.
